Welcome to Karhunpesä! This charming log villa is located in its own natural tranquility on the top of a cliff, offering magnificent views of Nuuksio National Park. The scenery has been described as reminiscent of Lapland. You can directly access marked forest trails in the national park from our yard, which borders our neighboring country.

The cottage was built in 1963 by a local carpenter from trees felled from our own land. Wood keeps the extra carbon out of the atmosphere also in the form of log wall so choosing a log villa is in itself a good choice for a better climate.

Meetings and Retreat Days
Enjoy a relaxed “cozy socks” meeting, team day, retreat, or small celebration at Karhunpesä. The space includes essential meeting equipment: a data projector, screen, flipcharts, and Wi-Fi. The spacious living area has long tables for up to 20 people (6+14), a comfortable seating area, and a large natural stone fireplace

Catering
We provide coffee service and meal options throughout the day. Alternatively, you can self-cater using the small kitchen. In summer, a gas grill is available under the covered outdoor kitchen area on the rocky terrace.

Beverages
Refreshments for meetings can be arranged on-site, and guests are welcome to bring their own drinks for the sauna and dinner.

Sauna & Outdoor Hot Tub
End the day with a relaxing session in the wood-heated sauna, followed by a soak in the outdoor jacuzzi under the stars. The sauna seats about 6-7 people at a time.

Activities
Complement your meeting or retreat with seasonal outdoor activities led by our expert guides. On-site facilities include a High Rope course and a 9-hole disc golf course. Disc golf can even be played at night with illuminated discs and targets. Explore more activity options on our Activities page.

Accommodation
Karhunpesä offers three double rooms and a loft that sleeps about 10 people, with a total capacity of 16 guests. Additional accommodation is available in our Igluhut cabins within the Reindeer Park.

Nuuksio Reindeer Park & White Reindeer Kota
The Nuuksio Reindeer Park is located on Karhunpesä’s grounds in a fenced area. Visits to the Reindeer Park can be arranged by request, and the White Reindeer -Kota (Teepee) is perfect for cozy lunches or 3-4 course dinners with wine by the campfire. The reindeer around the Lappish Hut add a touch of northern magic. The kota is also suitable as a relaxed meeting space.

Private Rentals
Karhunpesä is also available for private events and is especially popular for weekend rentals.
