We recommend arriving by public transport or carpooling to reduce emissions and ease traffic on Nuuksiontie. Parking at our facilities is limited. The journey from Helsinki to Nuuksio takes approximately 30–40 minutes by car and about one hour by public transport (train + bus). Please note that bus 245(A) from Espoo Centre runs infrequently, so be sure to check train connections in advance.
A single ticket for the ABC fare zone can be purchased from HSL ticket machines, service points, or via the HSL mobile app. Tickets are not sold on trains or buses.
Helsinki – Nuuksio Route:
1. Take a commuter train (U, E, or L) from Helsinki to Espoo Centre.
2. From Espoo Centre, continue by bus 245(A) to Nuuksio. The bus stop is located right next to the railway tracks. The bus schedule is synchronized with train arrivals, but the bus runs infrequently.
Get off at Punjonsuo bus stop, the closest stop to Safaritalo, Karhunpesä, and Nuuksio Reindeer Park. This stop is two stops after the Haltia Nature Centre and is located near Safaritalo.
To reach Nuuksio Reindeer Park and Karhunpesä, walk about 400 meters forward and turn right immediately after the pedestrian crossing. There is a signpost at the junction for Karhunpesä & Nuuksio Reindeer Park.

Route: Turku Motorway (E18) – Nupurintie (Old Turku Road, Route 110) – Nuuksiontie
📍 Distance: ~30 km from Helsinki & the airport, ~1 km from Haltia Nature Centre
Directions:
1. Exit the Turku Motorway (Route 1) at IKEA, turning up and right.
2. At the second traffic light, turn left towards Veikkola, drive under the Ring Road III underpass, and continue on Nupurintie (Route 110).
3. After about 5 km, turn right following the signs: Nuuksio / Solvalla.
Continue past Haltia Nature Centre for about 700 meters, and you will arrive at Safaritalo, located immediately after the ski slope on the right. A private parking area is available.
By continuing about 400 meters past Safaritalo (or 1 km from Haltia), you will reach Karhunpesä and Nuuksio Reindeer Park. There are signs at the junction for Karhunpesä & Nuuksio Reindeer Park, and a private parking area is available here as well.
A larger public parking area is located in front of Haltia Nature Centre, about 700 meters before Safaritalo and 1 km before Karhunpesä & Reindeer Park.
🔹 Note! Parking on private roads is strictly prohibited. Residents must have access to their properties, and in winter, snowplows must be able to clear the roads without obstacles.

Drive along Jorvaksentie (Road 51) towards Hanko and turn left onto Porkkalantie before reaching Kirkkonummi(signposted: Porkkalan niemi). Continue for 14 km, then turn left onto Bölentie.
Drive 1.1 km on Bölentie, then turn right onto Läntinen Bölentie. Continue for 500 m, then turn right onto Torsnäsintie. Drive 750 m, then turn left at the first gate to enter the yard area, where private parking is available. Additional parking spaces can be found at the next gate.
🔹 Note! Parking on Torsnäsintie or on private roads is strictly prohibited.
🔹 For group transportation, we recommend using a smaller bus, as there is no turning area for a full-size bus on the narrow Torsnäsintie, and turning into the yard can also be challenging.
